WHY SLEEVES DON'T DO MUCH
Most knee supports wrap the whole joint in neoprene and apply even pressure across all of it. That's warm, it's bulky, and it treats every part of your knee as equally involved.
The ache under your kneecap when you squat, land or take the stairs down usually comes from one tendon doing more work than it should. Even compression doesn't change what that tendon is handling.
A strap sits under the kneecap and changes how force travels through that one point. Less material, more specific.
TWO DIFFERENT TOOLS
| Feature | Norra Relief Strap | Full Knee Sleeve |
|---|---|---|
| Targets one pressure point | ✓ | — |
| Fits under jeans and leggings | ✓ | Varies |
| Breathable for all-day wear | ✓ | — |
| Full-joint compression | — | ✓ |
| Stays put without readjusting | ✓ | Varies |
| Sized by measurement, not guesswork | ✓ | Varies |
Different supports suit different needs. Norra Relief Strap provides external support and is not a substitute for advice from a medical professional.
THIS IS THE PART PEOPLE GET WRONG
Sit or stand with the knee bent about twenty degrees. Placing it on a locked-straight leg gives you the wrong position.
Feel for the soft band of tendon between your kneecap and your shin. That's where the pad sits.
The pad goes two finger-widths below the bottom edge of the kneecap. On the kneecap itself does nothing.
Firm enough that it doesn't travel. Loose enough that you can slide one finger underneath. If your calf tingles, it's too tight.
Placement matters more than tension. Most people who say a strap did nothing had it sitting too high.
WHERE IT EARNS ITS PLACE
Squats and lunges, where the sting shows up on the way down.
Stays where you put it instead of migrating down your shin.
Downhill is harder on the knee than the climb up ever was.
Slim enough that nobody knows it's under your trousers.
BEFORE YOU ORDER
The velcro is adjustable across a wide range, so there's no chart to measure against — wrap it, tighten it, done. It fits slim legs through to larger ones. If you're well outside the usual range at either end, message us before you order and we'll tell you straight whether it'll work for you.
A strap changes how load travels through a tendon while you move. It isn't treatment, and it isn't a substitute for seeing someone if your knee is genuinely injured.
Standard delivery is 5-8 business days within the US. No surprise overseas dispatch, no vague "processing" window. If it's going to be late, we email you before you have to ask.
FROM PEOPLE WHO BOUGHT IT
Wear it to the gym, on the trail, up and down your stairs. If it isn't right, send it back for a full refund. If it's just the wrong size, we'll swap it free — that's the most common issue with straps and we'd rather fix it than have you give up on it.
